Do we need solutions to Maths QBANK?

None

Hey guys, Some people asked me to post the solutions of the Maths QBANK. I want ur advice and votes that ''do we need solution to Maths QBANK?''. If I get enough replies and positive votes, I will be starting a seperate thread where the authors of the questions can post the solutions. Till now it was like this that the people having difficulty in the questions can nudge the author of the question. But it is too lengthy process both for the problem seeker and the author. SO I think that we shud decide together that should I start a new thread for the solutions? Rates to each reply. What do U say?

my opinion is to start a separate thread fr this maths q-bank..
cos it wld help many folks by savin their time...as they cld c their preffered ques soln in the same thread..!

Well ashish, Thanx for ur advice but I totally disagree with ur view.
See everyday, many new people join GOIIT. They also have the right to solve the questions of QBANK. Now if they have the solutions in front of their eyes, they will not solve the questions seriously and whole-heartedly. The main purpose of forming QBANK is to form an online book for all 3 subjects containing good questions.
Please tell me if U want a seperate thread for solutions.

WHAT I THINK IS THAT IF WE SHIFT THE SOLUTION TO MATHS QBANK , THEN PROPER NUMBERING AND INDEXING OF THE QUESTIONS SHOULD BE DONE COZ AS QUESTIONS INCREASE IT WILL BECOME HARDER TO KEEP TRACK OF THEIR SOLUTIONS (tedious job of searching down all the pages of the topic posts).

So what i say is that everyone who posts the questions, please give a proper numbering to ur question (in continuation to last question). and then in solutions' post , that number will be used to find that question's solution. if possible, put the date of posting the problem in the solution's post so that it can be tracked easily . No need of including the date on which u r posting the solution.

in this way, two ways a question/answer can be searched:

a) by its numbering

b)by date of posting of question

that's what i can figure out.............

Gud idea but Why can't we do one thing, before posting the solution just write the question of whose solution U R providing. Now don't say that writing question will be a long job. Just copy paste it from QBANK.
What do you say?

WELL THATS WHY I HAVE PROPSED THAT NUMBERING AND DATE SYSTEM, COZ ON INCREASING LOADS IT WOULD BE TEDIOUS JOB MOVING THROUGH ALL QUESTIONS LOOKING FOR THE QUESTION WHOSE SOLUTION U WANTED.....in 15-16 pages......of the thread..

SO NUMBER & DATE system would be much better, simpler and straight forward..

But the problem is that already about 30-35 questions have been posted. And the numbering is not done from the beginning and those old questions con not be edited now so as to number them.
So what to so with the solutions of those questions?

It is good, if you have a separate solution thread for answers coz, if you post the answers in the same thread, then it dosent become a Q bank?. He he? well, It is a good idea Tarin. The thing which mainly works is, if you discuss the answers in the nudgebook, no one benefits except the interacting persons.. and the question author has to answer the Q a 100 times to each and every person asking for the sol.. So its very easy to post the Que and the solution simultaneously!!! (in two different threads)

USE DATES ONLY IN THEM AND ALSO PUT ENTIRE QUESTION AND FROM THEN ON ASK THE QUESTIONNAIRES TO PUT IN NUMBERING ATLEAST IN THEIR QUESTIONS.........

See its best that u put ur answers in a separate thread
sometime later
and as u said its better that u simply copy the question from q bank and put the reqd answers so thst there will be no doubt as to which question has which answer
