|goiit survey|: more opiniuns needed regarding goiit-narayana tieup

Hi guys,Last few months i've been after your life to try and figure out what you guys would require for your preparation, and how can we contribute. Lot of you talked about correspondence courses at a reasonable cost. So we started with a tie-up with Narayana Institute of Correspondence courses, where they got ready to give us discounts at all their courses along with a lot of free tests and content on goiit.com for its users. I think its a great bargain for both. they get a chance to reach out and talk about their products and we get lot of discounts and free goodies. Moreover I went through their last year's content, which was impressive, so we had no issues endor

hi sir, about this narayana insti correspondence course tie up:
u had said that goiitians wud get this offer... now, i forsee a possible problem. Now, if a person had to buy this corresp material, he wud just join goiit, have not posted a single message or recieved a single rate and could still avail of the special discount... this doesnt seem right.
this corresp course & the special offers as well, should only be given at discounted prices to "TRUE" and "WORTHY" goiitians. So, i think an imposition of a condition, such as "must have an altitude of at least 100" or sumthing like that must b imposed.
this is what I feel... if others r not with me, its ok... i just expressed myself!

Sir, if you think that the tie-up would be beneficial, then go ahead.
Also the Goiit's own course materials need to be updated as soon as possible. There are quite a few typing errors especially in the equations of the circle section. In maths one letter mistaken can mean a lot. I haven't checked the other sections of mathematics. There too some such mistakes may be present. In other words, it is time the materials are revised. Moreover a few chapters are missing and some of them are quite important (e.g rotational mechanics etc.) .

Also with regard to what lastminutegenius had said, there is nothing wrong if all Goiitians can benefit from the tie-up. Even if one does not post a single message, Goiit can't bias against him/her. There are many strong as well as weak students (weak in the sense that they need their concepts clarified after which they can emerge as strong as others) and the weaker students may not be able to earn many rates. But just for that reason you can't keep away from them the advantages of being in Goiit. Also, the rate-mania would increase (among the new members) which has already been seen to be quite undesirable. Moreover, I can't see any evil if all get equal advantage from a facility set up. Let's for instance, consider a road. If a rule is made that only cars and buses can use the road, will it be fair for pedestrians, scooters or cycles.

Hi sir,
GOIIT and u have been extremely helpful to us....ur idea is gr8 as well.....but sir plz ask NARAYANA INSTITUE to prepare test papers for all tests exclusively 4 GOIITians.....there must be a monthly test for 11th nd 12th separately....

instead of paying the actual amt, ill just join goiit for the sake of the reduced price and once i get the material, ill stop being a goiitian (ie. not post and be bothered abt the site)

One may not have enough time to post enough posts to meet such preconditions, but that does not mean the course materials would be kept away from him. If members could avail the facilities of Goiit only if he posts messages in it, then it would be a very selfish thing. Moreover, lastminutegenius, you must not forget that the very purpose of Goiit is to help us, so if people does not bother about the site and just enter it just for the coursematerials, then it is they themselves who will not enjoy the previlleges of being in this site.

Sir,
I have a request to do something for BITSAT also. The syllabus of BITSAT is also different from JEE, it has - english proficiency and logical reasoning - so can u guys do anything to solve this.
Also , i searched the web everywhere ...still i found only brilliant offering BITSAT correspondence coaching. I liked the tie-up that goiit made with Narayana, we are able to enroll for rhe courses online !!! i like this feature... so this is my request to do something cool about BITSAT also where people can enroll for the BITSAT corrrespondence course online.
Waiting for a positive move from GOIIT as soon as possible as i am targetting 2008 exams. (I am having the Narayans integrated JEE+AIEEE course material, so if GOIIT is able to do anything really cool which facilitates ppl like me , it wud really be of a gud help! )
I would like to say one more thing ...Why cant GOIIT keep a competition to we ppl in which ... firstly, you should select one topic from one chapter(which u should mention the day before) in advance from phy,chemand maths, then the next day , should post 30 questions from these chosen topics (phy,che,maths) ...and those who answers gets marks .Also there should be time limit (for eg 30 min ) and ppl can submit the answer only once.
If didnt understand then eg:
Suppose we are starting the programme on 17th of this month,
Then on 16th , you should mention:
one topic (phy)
one topic (che)
one topic (maths)
Based on this, - on 17th , at 5 pm or so
..There should be the test.(with time limit , one can answer only once)
The marks should be presented to the goiitians by 1-2 days or so...
Then on 17th, after the test,
....Next days topic to study shud be chosen....
Then on 18 th ......test....continues as a routine...
The marks of each member should be visible to others.
This gives the correct ranking to each of us .....
Benefit :
* Because of this, many ppl who simply come and post some questions in the councelling zone (to those who are gonna write exam in 2008) gets a gud opportunity to study, they will prepare for it everyday...thus every goiitians will have a gud rank next year for sure ...they will be in the right track...their worry abt exams wud be gone ...and after the exams ...we wud be discussing abt that days questions and thus that days topic will be studied thoroughly.
* If we do such a thing - then next year , when the results are published - we (each member) can be proud abt this -" about 98.8 % of Goiitians got fruitful ranks in JEE and AIEEE ". - I have stong belief that this will become true.
Friends please post ur comments on this (whether it be supporting or not no problem at all).
Well, i will not feel bad even if Goiit disagree with this ....as they have done a great job in moulding such a big community of IIT Aspirants...grt job.
As far as i know ...this is the best place for IIT-JEE Aspirants as well AIEEE aspirants in the whole world....ppl around here are great....the questions and queries get answered in a few min......and thanks thanks thanks a lot to the Admin sir,moderator sir,experts,and to all those who are working behind the scenes....GOIIT ROCKS!!!!YOU GUYS ARE REALLY SUPERB ....

guys as for BITSAT, we are all ocming up with an online test series - ofcourse it will be in partnership with esteemed institutes, and they will not shell it out for free... but goiit will try to figure something out in that regards too..
thnx for your advice ckmr. we will look into the matter if anything can be done. as of now we are busy trying to get you all the stuff we can - and survive ourselves too!
but its all happening.. by the way, we cracked a similar dela with Apex academy too. so you guys might have some discounts on Apex Correspondence Courses.
