Sir,
i am an IIT aspirant.......i havent joined any classes for IIT but for my State Boards instead and the portion is really different from IIT portion.......(its hardly 1/3rd)...so i have to live two parallel worlds just to keep my hopes alive.....
i have
M L Khanna + H C Verma + O P Agrawal + Morrison Boyd + TMH (AIEEE ONES) + Some More Random MCQ Books
as also 2003 IIT Brilliant Tutorials Correspondence Course
i had solved these books (a major chunk) b4 november but then after my State Board classes started i lost touch and now its like starting from Scratch
My question is.......now what should i do now...which books should i solve considering the fact that whatever i do now must give me optimum results.cuz i cant spend much tym now (Should i do Correspondence more or the textbooks)..i am confused.....i myself dunno whether my concepts are strong or not.....whether i should start solving or start reading theory also.......i am utterly confused plus the rumours of a difficult paper next year is kinda disencouraging....

Hi nunoxic, hey dont worry. everyone is facing through the same dilemma. listen this year is going to be very crucial for u & all the others who are writing Jee.u must be atleast prepared with the 11th portion? right.? Altough u have lost touch with it due to your state board exams u must be atleast knowing the basics. so now its not necessary that u start from scratch all over again. instead u can just revise the theories, some imp concepts and the formullae. then try solving different problems from diff bks. start with the easy ones firest and then go on to the tuff problems. I bet u musnt have forgotten whatever u have studied before. its still there in your mind. onlything is that u have to brush up whatever u have studied. now i wuld advise u to start doing the 12th portion and revise the 11th portion on weekends or whichever day u want. Its better if u join some good coaching institute which trains u for JEE.

I would recommend that firstly u must do the imp. chapters nicely like in say in Physics do modern physics, in chem do topics of Physical chemistry & in maths do Calculus.
Then if u find time u may start revising ur 11th / 12th syllabus.

first of all b thorough wid class 11 n 12 portion.take a correspondence course or join a coaching class.
give ur max input. hope 4 d best n prepare4 d worst.TMH IS GOOD 4 MATHS.

Hi nunoxic !!!!!
Just relax .... Don't Panic ....
As u have solved the major chunk of these books b4 november u must have forgot most of the things so I advice u to firstly revise the theory .... U have enough number of good books so revise P theory by H.C.Verma, M 's by M.LKhanna and C's By O.P.Agarwal ....... solve as much sums as u can frm these books ....
Now ur theory will b perfect and u'll have 2 increase ur problem solving ability .....
From the rest of the books solve questions ...... (TMH has a good number of problems)
According to me don't give more stress on correspondence books ........

just one more thing :
should i do like.........1 chapter from all my books and only then move to next chapter.......or do all chapters then do all chapters from different book or other ?

the way u've described ur state boards.... it seems u gonna giv maharashtra state board exams..... So called HSC !!! Well don wry this is the same case wid me too n wid all my fellow frnds aspiring For JEE n frm HSc board... But as a solution..... Whenever its ur unit test or terms in ur college for 12 th... devote max. time for ur 12 th lessons .. so dat after units or terms u are perfect wid dat many lessons.... n the rest of the days just concentrate on JEE syllabus...... N in month of Jan..... around frm 10 th jan or so..... Start on wid ur 12th syllabus..... wid full force............ And devote half the time which u take for 12th during this time for JEE...... And ha do 1 chp frm all the books so dat u get d links properly... Hoping this might help u !!!!

orloff,
since i have joined CET/HSC classes i must atleast concentrate there :D.........and if i do JEE all the time.........its a huge risk....+ there is presssure from HSC which i must top (which i kinda do right now)

Well if u've joined classes for HSC n CET ... then whatever u finish in the class on a particular day... revise dat stuff thourougly dat day itself widout fail.... and if u are also very serious abt JEE also ... then the rest of the time for JEE... if time permits.... And devote the whole sunday on JEE studies...... As in There are 3 sundays minimum in a month..... then alot each sunday a subject (p/c / m) n remove the baclog of dat subject on sunday !!! All the best !!!
