for trigonometry sl loney is more than sufficient.........Some questions that have appeared in JEE have been directly picked from loney.....

for trignometry and analytical geometry, i try to follow S L Loney in addition to my state board books.
But I read other day, that arihant books are trimmed and more focussed. I must admit I hav not seen arihant buks for trignometry and analytical geometry.
On the other hand , I have K C Sinha calculus and also algebra. The books are so good for self study. The only prob is that the buks r bulky.
So, for self study K C Sinha is best .
If u hav coaching etc. u can try arihant.
And I think S L Loney will be invisible in any of those buks. But Loney books r old. But I started reading loney and don't feel to shift.
Hope this helps u.

For analytical geometry, the best problems are given in A Das Gupta Problem Plus but the prob is that it is a buk for whole maths not for only analytical. If U want a seperate buk than take any of SL Loney or KC Sinha but at the end dont miss doing the probs from A Das gupta.
For trigo, I hav diff view. See, trigo does not come in exams as a chapter, it comes as a basic tool in various ques. The difficult ques in trigo are very specific and even if U do a complete buk of trigo, U cant say that U will be able to solve 10 out of the given 10 probs. So instead of giving 10 hrs to trigo, give only 2 hrs to it and devote other 8 hrs in topics which are more scoring and easier. For example-coordinate geometry. If U hav a gud practice of it, U can solve all 10 out of 10 ques. So for trigo, just do small buks like RD Sharma CBSE or do it from a general maths buk.DONT DO A WHOLE BUK ON TRIGO. ITS OF NO USE. Rest is up to U.
