IIT JEE , AIEEE Forum - Institutes & Courses , Coaching Institutes & Course Material - No scope for students doing self study....i think ???

Hello friends,

Well , i think there is not a even 5 % chance to those who dont go for coaching classes regarding their entrance into the iits. The people who attend the coaching classes gets more practice than those who study alone in thier homes by just having some corresponence course materials only like me!!!

Friends, so anyone can tell me how many students are admitted for these coaching classes ? (i just need just an approximate number like those of resonace , bansal, brilliant,fiitjee etc ).

You r right that the people who attend the coaching classes gets more practice than those who study alone in thier homes. May be u r also right that there is not a even 5 % chance to those who dont go for coaching classes. But what is the alternative ?
Should we up our hands and say the war is lost ? I have 2 more years till 2009. Even I shall have a chance in 2010. So i m not going to quit.
This is first.
Secondly, heaven will not fall if someone don't get chance in IIT after all efforts. Life will not end.
But why worry. Thats in 2009.

I know 2/3 people ( from Bombay) who got thru IIT this yr without any coaching whatsoever. They had this option of joining a Coaching Inst but they simply didn't. They felt success in JEE was abt 90% due to self study & just abt 10% due to Coaching. Lot of time get wasted in commuting to & fro between Coaching Inst ( on an avg 3 days or so per week) & home. The books/study material that these Coaching Inst provide are no patch on the Std Books likew H C Verma etc..
Joining a Test Series is important though. Without any Benchmarking, a false sense of complacency may set in.

Arrey it is only ppl like u who dont study who say it is difficult to clear without coaching i know a lot of ppl who cleared jee without coaching , it's not impossible it depends on u r hard work

First u spam this board with nonsense , now u say it is not possible ,arrey have u ever tried working hard trust me anything is possible with hard work

And with current pattern of jee u wud do much better on u r own than rely on Coaching

yes , i think hard work is the only think that matters . Most of the coaching institutes have there study material from HC Verma , TMH (Maths) , and JD lee stuff (chemistry) . It just depends upon individual efforts...
