HEY guys..how waz fiitjee open test ..what r ur views on it?

well,i think PAPER -1 WAZ QUITE EA ZY & concept-based..but much lengthy for those who got stuck somewhere..it happenened to me ,

has anybody solved organic chem. comprehrensions?,they were too tricky..i lost much time in that

paper-2 waz a confusing one,esp. chem..

what do u think wd be 90% score for this test??

PLEASE HELP.. help me to sort out time management problems.. i alwayz gonna think that i don't do 100 percent or even 90% of my potential..plz tell me some strategies to extract max. out of the paper/

i saw many students who don't do ques.. completely or without conceptual clarity..generally by putting values in objective ques.. frm options & satisfying in ques itself ..& r successful!e.g in aits open test there waz multipe correct ques.. in which options itself giving hint that quadrilateral is square..

is it agood habit?

will iit ask such ques..?

there were several such ques. esp. in maths..

what r ur views...!?

Yeah, the paper was easy, atleast the first one, n phy was easiest of all, as far as, its matter of negative approach, ofcourse u can do it, but jee is hardly going to be like this!!!! u wont be able to use much of negative approach thr.... nd those comprehensions in chemistry, they were easy mukul, jst u shud hav luked them with a care, u would hav defintely got the answers, if not all, then atleast some!!!

cant say, how much will be the 90% score..... but it wont be too high !!!! n as far as ur magement problem is thr, then try to figure out, whr u usually do mistakes, ur weak points, n always attend the paper in order chem, then phy n then maths, cuz questions in chem are like, once on reading them, u get to knw, either they hav to be done or to be leaved!!! in this way, u'll be able to do the most, n one thing i'll like to differ, the paper wasnt a bit lengthy..... it was absolutely suffecient,so speed up urself!!!!

Well, here is all my "own" opinion, if u feel bad 'bout it, m srry!!!!

b'coz of devoting too much time in chem. comps. VAISE mine organic chem . is strong but not done organic chem. yet..[I.E NOT REVISED I AM DROPPER]..how many marks r u expecting in this paper?

what's ur % on an average in fiitjee aits,must b above 95% , i think..u r BRILLIANT bur r with FIITJEE,just kidding for the moment..

achha tell me how i shud divide time to come for best prep. ..plz advise ..i m poor in time management..

HI! PRAVEEN. i hav'nt calculated marks yet..but sure to go above OR AROUND 245..what's ur expected score ..?i get 90% on an avg. in fiitjee aits ,what about urs?

hi mukul, well m no brilliant yaar, neither with fiitjee, nor anywhere else..... jst an avg student, well u ppl hav scored real well, n i hav messed up real well

... it was the worst paper of mine in aits, nd on an average basis, m not above 95, but yeah its about 94-93 percentile... nd tym management, he he, thats sth at which even m no gud at... how can i help u out!!! only thing i can advice is, knw ur weakness n strength, nd work upon them, this only will get u high!!!

btw u said u r a dropper, so how u preparing now??? i mean to say, which is coaching???

thank u again for replying..actually it's a long story.. igot admission in NIT KKR[IT BRANCH]..but not satisfied ..and want to give fruitful try & to sit for iit again!! i left the cllge in mid. nov. i am enrolled in ranker study material,fiitjee..steadily going..qualitatively good..i took 2 yr classroom program in fiitjee south delhi centre [sunday batch 1] but no coaching now -a dayz .. u tell frm which books r u practising now -a dayz ..

i also gave the open test yesterday.did not go well.just getting around 180-190.wat do u reckon wud be the cut off for rank projection.my average in all the aits is around 93 percentile.feeling very frustrated.plzz help!!!!!

hi me too gave my open test yeterday .ya me too scred very very very less

i just mnaged to just get 13 marks in chem.thats truly horrible .can everyybody pls put in ther indivisual marks tooo.

commin to the ques , time management is nothing.all u have to do is spend exactly 1 hr on each .i suggest srt with maths and spend exactly 1 hr and then chem and then phy and deff chem is going to get over in lesss thana na hr so adjust the time towards the end of the paper towards whtever is left ,bit make sure dont corss an hr for in each subject inititally , coming to there are many tricks to be followed but my dear frnd dont follow any tricks as in JEE u may not be able to do the same.if here u do my lenghty method ur speed will improve along with ur analytical skills .so dont really try and shortcuts after reaching home sit with the paper and then check for shortcuts not at centre .

but in jee u could well try tricks bcoz u know if trick doe.snt work u can solve it by the way its meant to be solved.

hi ! kusum ,i think chem. waz very confusing,my friends also got very less marks in chem..probably b'coz match the following were having >4 options on either side..,numericls were'ajeeb'

maths -92

i predict if this waz iit paper ,cut-off marks for chem must be 30-35

but don't panic

my friend got 78% in open test 2006 but got around 1400 rank in iit2006..

be cheerful..and avoid -ve marks

hi rishabh..i v no idea..but i know atleast 152 marks were required to get last rank in iit2006
