hello everybody, please give ur suggestions on the weightage of inorganic chemistry in the IIT-JEE and the best books on inorganics. Recently i took the fiitjee ftse test in which i found that the weightage of inorganics in that was 45% much above my expectations, organics 25% and physical only 30% which i think is not the pattern followed in the jee. but again jee is unpredictable. i have very less time to give to inorganics.

Don't leave out Inorganic Chem. At least, be thorough with what is given in the the NCERT book for CBSE Exam ... Don't read any other book ( OP Agarwal or OP Tandon ) if u want. But this NCERT book ( both Class XI & Class XII portion ) is the bare minimum that u must read. By the way, Inorganic is the easiest portion to scotr marks.

Dekh bhai inorganic pe there are thousands of books. Some are by foreign writers like JD Lee are very good books. But if you can see the time left is very less and you also have to very precise when studying inorganic becoz you must not be knowing that the syllabus of inorganic alone is equal to that of organic+physical chem. SO the best option is NCERT ko poori tarah chaat dalo. Read and learn NCERT word by word. 95% of inorganic of jEE will be covered by this. CHEERS and all the best.
