Find the area
None

If f(x) =

g(x) = .

Then the area bounded by y = gof(x); x=1, x=4and x-axis is

(a) 7/2

(b) 9/4

(c) 9/2

i hope you can plot f(x) and g(x) very easily~~

f(x) =  1 - x   ,  0<= x <= 2

        & x - 3  ,   2<= x <= 4

g(x) = 2 + x   ,  -1 <= x <= 0

        & 2 - x   ,  0 <= x <= 3

after plotting both of them,

gof(x) =  2 - | 1- f(x) | ,  -1 < = f(x) <= 3

           =  2 - | 1- f(x) | ,  -1 < = f(x) <=1       ( since f(x) lies between -1 to 1 for given limits)

           =  2 - | 1- x | ,           0<= x <= 2

            & 2 - | 3 - x| ,           2<= x <= 4

i hope you can easily plot both of them very easily~~

do rate if correct~
