how can we prove 1=2?

None

i had seen in dis site some where dat 1=2..............
how is dat proved?

it is some method in which
a=b
then multiplying a on both sides.
a^2=ab..............and somthing lyk dat.............pls tell me da full method

hi everybody !!

firstly this ques is mathematically wrong and cannot b justified by any means ...

there are a whole lot of process to apparently show that 1 =2 although none of them are true

most of them are arithmetic in approach ...

i, however present a calculus explanation

here it goes

let y = x²

then by taking its derivative , we get
y₁ = 2x (eqn- 1)

y can also be written as

y = x + x + x + x + ............. ( x times)

taking derivative

we get

y₁ = 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 + ........ (x times)
= x (eqn - 2)

from eqn -1 and 2

we get

x = 2x

or, 1=2

i know this proof has serious flaws in it but apparently looks to be true.
however if u examine it closely , u can find the fault

anyways this is a unique approach to prove 1=2

in case u hav any doubt, nudge me

Let x=y
so, xy=y^2
so, xy - x^2= y^2 - x^2
so, x(y-x) = (y+x)(y-x)
cancelling (y-x) from both sides,
we get,
x=y + x
but as y=x,
we get
x=2x
Therefore
1=2.

hello mister...we know x-y =0 so u cant cancel 0 on both sides... well @zeeshanp there is no proof to show 1=2....all these types are just blinders in maths......U CANT JUST CONTRADICT MATHS/........Cheers...

Bhai, I also know I cant cancel x-y, but when 1=2, then anything can happen. ;)
