I think u'll should try out
Alchemist
by Paulo Coehlo
Its a fiction book.
Alchemy means turning of copper to gold( a little doubtfull!!!)
It is about following your dreams.
In this book the writer has expressed the way of speaking to ur heart so beautifully that any would love to try it!!!!!!!

it is about a shephard!!!!
this is my personal opinion

U'll can even try out
Angels and Demons
by Dan Brown - author of Davinci code!!!!!

Here is My Verdict :
Paulo Coelho's All Books Are Good (Read Almost All)
Dan Brown SUX (Even Though U might like his books his style is toooo repititve)
J K Rowling SUX EVEN MORE (though prisoner was a very good read)
CHRISTOPHER PAOLINI
J R TOLKEIN

I hav read Dan Brown's Da Vinchi Code and I liked it as much as "alchemist"--th shepherd's state of mind is well portrayed here...angels and demons is I think th best of Dan Brown...
"Brain" was Pathetic...
And I enjoyed HP series throughout....
Lets talk about some trash now....
Anyone who's read "Five Point Someone"??
On a lighter note,It's fun goin through it..

Alchemist! Orloff i'm in that one with you.
A revelation of its time... a must read for all those who are searching of their treasures! Incidently just did a re-read of the same a couple of days back.. that thing can bring you out of any depths...mabbe a bit too poetic... but thats coelho.. in one word....Makhtub!
five Point someone was a bit of a disappointment.. read it because
a. everyone hyped about it a bit too much
b. Chetan Bhagat is a hostel senior at IIT-D [1997 batch].
but was a bit of a let down... too ficticious...though not bad for a one time read.. the next one.. "one night at the call center" was a complete disaster.
any of you done "Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy (douglas adams)" ?? Thats some real hilariousss read!
cheers

Hey Guys,
Why are we talking about International Authors so much when India produces some of the best authors in the World.
Try out the short stories written by R.K.Narayan, Mulk Raj Anand and Rudyard Kipling.
These stories evoke a lot of nostalgia.
And if you want to keep your Adrenaline rushing, try reading Dan Brown and Michael Crichton.
And by the way, I think Angels and Demons is much better than The Da Vinci Code.
Enjoy reading,
Cheers,
Aditya.

Da Vinci code was gr8 but Dan Brown becomes too predictable in the other books.
When it comes to science fiction Asimov and Micheal Crichton rule. R.K. Narayan is the greatest among the modern Indian english novelists.
In the realm of fantasy tolkein is King.
