Why should'nt we apply this rule for small wires

hello,

no,we can also apply this law for short wire,but only in the case when distance of point at which we are applying this law is much closer to lenth of wire.for. ex. if lenth is 10 cm. then we can apply this law for point situated at a distance of 1mm but not for that which is situated at 5 cm.
