deflection of positive and negative ions
Physics

an ionised gas contains both positive and negative ions. if it is subjected simultaneously to an electric field along the +x-direction and a magnetic field along the +z-direction, then what is the deflection of positive ions and negative ions????

positive ions get deflected in (+x),(-y) direction

negative ions get deflected in (-x),(+y) direction

Its (-y)axis. . . .for both positive n negative charges, when they m0ve in same electric field(i.e. Along +X) Current is also al0ng +x and magnetic field is same fo both(i.e.+z) so both wil experienc forc in same directn, use FBI Gun(fleming's left hand) to get -y as th directn. . . . .i hope im n0t wr0ng ?
