in a L , C , R circuit connected in series with an alternating voltage source of frequency f  
 
current leads voltage by 45 degrees . then value of C is
 
Ans 1 / ( 2 pi f L   +    R)

hey dude, the question is simple but i'm getting a different answer (your answer/2 pi f)
current leading voltage indicates circuit is capacitive, i.e. X{c} > X{l}

tan 45 = ( X{c} - X{l} ) / R
put X{l} = 2 pi f L and X{c} = 1 / 2 pi f C to get C
