 an ideal transformer is a mutual inductor with all its flux ines common to both theprimary and the ssecondary as coils 1 and2 are called

for a transformer with no loss the ratio of the emf induced in the secondary to the emf induced in the primary is equal to the number of turns of the secondary N2/N1
