is it possible for an object to have product of relative permittivity & permeability < 1

 velocity of light in a medium is given by

         v = (1/00)^1/2

where one epsilon & mu are for absolute value & anuther for relative value.

putting value of 00,

      v = c/()^1/2

if product of these two are less than one, velocity in that medium 'll be more than velocity of light.

so please say is it possible that  =1.5 &    = 0.5 for a particular medium.

Even I used the same logic to answer in the AIEEE 08 and I put the option stating mu=1.5 and epsilon=1.5............

But rite now not many are online,, vacation time..Sirf mere jaise pagal milenge.. Evn m new..

It takes time to reach questions..

Nyways,, whatever i know i'll be sharing.

velocity of sound is given by:

now,, this is relative permittivity,, and same is case for .

depending on behaviour of the material in electric and magnetic field..

For a diamagnetic material,,, varies in 0-1,,, and is 1+ ,, according to which,, in this time aieee paper,,

is 0.5 and is 1.5,,,,, is the only possible set of values.. All this information is from this year NCERT (XII).

rate karne mein time mat lagana...

u r missing smthing. it is not velocity of sound.

anyways as i told earlier it is velocity of EM waves and that can't exceed velocity of light.

so 1.5 & .5 are wrong choice.
