In ISC buk,its given dat toroid is a magnet with no north and south poles. Its magnetic moment is 0.I didn understand the ans. given. So when i searched on net,its given dat toroids introduce permeability, that means an increased inductance for a given number of turns. Whats de actual ans. den?? And is it possible for magnets 2 hav no north and south pole??

a toroid does not have poles because its net magnetic moment is zero. but it has a magnetic moment which gets cancelled completely due to radial symmetry ( i.e. it does not have any ends where there can be a pole )
there can be a "magnet" without poles if its net magnetic moment is zero. it can have moments which gets completely cancelled.
I dont understand that thing u found on the net.

u could view the toroid as made up of many thin circular magnetic discs arranged one after the other in a circular fashion. The magnetic moments of the discs will cancel out.
