Lorentz force is the force experienced by a charged particle moving in a magnetic field and an electric field. As you know, electrostatic force is independent of the motion of the particle, it is given as, F(elec.)= q.E where, E: magnitude of electric field and in the same way, Magnetic force acts on a moving charged particle and it is given as F(mag)= q(v*B) and Lorentz force is basically the combined effect of these two fields (electric and magnetic) and it is given asF(Lor) = q.E + q.(v*B)
