A electron being accelerated by 100 V potential is allowed to enter in a magnetic field B,of 0.004T, at an angle 30 degree to B. Find the orbit length and the pitch of the trajectory  of the electron inside B.

radius of the orbit,r = mvsin30o/eB = [2mK.E.] x sin30/eB

                                                    = {2x9.1x10^-31x100} /[2x1.6x10^-19x0.004]

                                                    = [182x10^-30]/1.28x10^-19

                                                    =13.5x10^6/1.28

                                                    =1.054x10^7 mt.

pitch of trajectory = Tvcos30 = [ ] 3 x2xr = 1.146x10^8 mt.

are the ans. matching?????
