Magnetism and vectors

To determine the direction of the magnetic field which rule shuld we apply?
The Right Hand Rule or Fleming's left hand rule?? Which one do you think is better??

Also , is it required that I complete the chapter of "Vectors" from Maths for flawlessly solving the problems of "Magnetic field" from HC Verma

Its the same. Do whatever you are comfortable with. For students who write with their right hand, Fleming's Left Hand rule should be used often to eliminate chances of doing a silly mistake during the exam. Lefties should try with the Right Hand Screw Rule.
