The principle of moving coil galvanometer is that when a conductor carrying current is placed in a magnetic field, it experience a force

A current carrying conductor placed in a uniform magnetic field experiences a torque..Force on a closed loop in a uniform field is always 0

principle of any theory is a general phenomenon ... the advancements done to make that theory work is the application of that principle . experience of torque on the closed loop is also the application of experience of force on current carrying conductor

It is based upon the principle that when a current carrying coil is placed in external magnetic field it experinces a torque and rotate.
