When a choke coil carrying a steady current is short circuited.The current in it decreases to b(<1) times its initial value in a time T . The time constant of the choke coil is (a) T/b (B) T/ ln (1/b (c) T/ ln b (d) T ln b

 The current in the choke will decrease exponentially as

I(t) = I(0) e -t/K

Hence,

b = e -T/K

THus

K = T / ln(1/b)
