1.CAN A SPHERICAL BODY ROLL ON ANOTHER SPHRICAL BODY...EXPLAIN WITH EXAMPLE2.WHY IS IT THAT A FREEWHEEL IN A CYCLE HAS LARGER DIAMETER THAT A GEAR WHEEL3ASSUME A BIG SPHERE WHICH ENCOMPASSES THE MOON AROUND THE EARTH AND THE MOON MOVES ON THIS SPHERE.IS THE MOON SLIDING OR OR ROLLING.GIVEN THE TIME TAKEN FOR ROTATION ABT ITS AXIS iS 30 days n time for revolution is 30 days...

1. yes, a spherical body can roll on another spherical body as the only condition required for rolling is that the bottom most point of a spherical body shud be stationary (wrt to the surface of contact.) instantaneously. two spheres placed on each other can have the uppermost of one and the bottomost of the second in contact with zero relative velocity. take this system to b suspended in a gravity free region. so both the spheres roll on each other. Hope this was helpful.
