14.A body is moving down a long inclined plane of angle of inclination ? . The coefficient of friction between the body and plane varies as x, 0.5 = µ where x is the distance moved down the plane. The body will have the maximum velocity when it has travelled a distance x given by :

At maxinum velocity dv/dx = 0 as acceleration is v*dv/dx S0 acc = 0 Or mg-(mu)*mg=0 This will happen when mu=1 Or at x=2 meter
