1) A trolley runs down a slope from rest with constant acceleration. In the 1st second of its motion it travels 1.6m. Its acc. is ?

2) If a particle is projected from origin and it follows the trajectory y = x - 1/2(x^2), then the time of flight is?

Please explain both the answers.

THANKS

s=1/2a(t^2)
t=1
1.6=1/2a
a=3.2 m/s^2

1.
 3.2 m/s2

2. compare with y = x tan - (gx^2)/[2 u^2 (cos)^2]

we get = 45 and u = 20
T = 2usin/g
= (10)/5

and that javascript error is alpha

Thanks for the answer of the 1st question.

The answer of the 2nd question is x/g^(1/2) x=1,2,3 or 4
So please correct the 2nd one.
