there are two acc, one due to the acc of sphere and one due to the sliding down of the particle. so take the vector sum of the two velocities to get the answer. velocity(horizontal vector): v^2=2a(Rsintheta) velocity(vertical vector): loss in gpe =gain in ke. mgR(1-costheta)=1/2mv^2 vector sum is root of Vx^2 + Vy^2.
