since the ball can float on liquid, force of buoyancy acts equally all the areas so the weight remains unchanged.

AS THE BALL FLOATS , SO WEIGHT OF THE BALL = BUOYANT FORCE . SO THE TOTAL UPWARDS AND DOWNWARD FORCES ACTING ON THE CONTAINER REMAINS THE SAME OR UNCHANGED.
