A man with a parachute is bailed out at a height of 400 m. I f time taken for 1st 200 m fall is

A man with a parachute is bailed out at a height of 400 m. I f time taken for 1st 200 m fall is t1 and for 2nd 200 m fall is t2, then

1)t1<t2

2)t1>t2

3)t1=t2

4)information is not sufficient

please give a short explanation too.

ti>t2..... it is so because the person jumping from the plane has 0 speed and hence is falling under gravitational force,whereas in second case he has some initial velocity after trvelling a distance 200m..... for more pls try newtons 2nd law

i hope the answer will be the same as stated above cause the forces will be sme during the entire period of motion..... by the what is the answer given?

The force wont be the same.....as the Stoke's force varies with velocity..........the ans given is t1
