A pendulum bob of mass m is held in the horizontal position and then released. Show that the velocity of bob at the lowest position is sq.rt. of 2gl and tension in this position is 2mg. l is the length of simple pendulum.

 Loss in mechanical =Kinetic energy final

root(2*g*l)=V

T-mv^2/l=mg

t=3*m*g
