a projectile is thrown into space so as to have maximum possible range of 400m. taking the point of projection as the origin, the co-ordinates of the ponit where the velocity of the projectile is maximum.

the maximum pvelocity would be at (400,0)

because the magnitude of velocity at that point would be equal to the magnitude of initial velocity

at any oyher coordinate the horizontal componenet remains the same but vertical component is reduced due to the action of. gravity

Sujit is correct.

In a projectile motion the horizontal velocity remains constant while the vertical velocity decreases from initial velocity to zero at the maximum height and then again increases to initial at the time of strking the ground.

so the velocity of the particle is maximum at (0,0) and (400,0)
