The answer given is a straight line passing thro origin, but i got it as the graph of a parabola y=x^2 as it will execute shm.... someone xplain.....

since a = 3Fx/2ml ... where 3F/2ml is constant we can take it as a straight line thru origin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! rate if useful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

no it wnt do shm as it is not mentioned about the magnitude and duration of force ..if it was a small displacement then yes there would be shm whose time period can be found out using t=2*pi*rt(I/mgl),...
