A smooth wedge A is fitted in a chamber hanging from a fixed celling near the earth's surface. A block B placed at top of the wedge takes time T to slide down the length of wedge. If the block is placed at top of wedge and the cable supporting the chamber is broken at the same instant then the block will :a) Take longer time than T to slide downb) Take shorter time thah T to slide downc) Remain at top of the wedge Do provide reason.

it will remain at the top because as the string breaks both the block & the wedge begins to fall with acceleration g & since both were initialy at rest & their relative acceleration is 0 therefore they will remain in same position with respect to each other & because the block was initially at the top of the wedge hence it will remain their in complete fall
