After falling from rest through a distance y , a body of mass m begins to raise a body of mass M (M>m) that is connected to it by means of a light inextensible string passing over a fixed smooth pulley. Find the time it will take for the body of mass M to return to it's original position

P.E of  m = m g y

m g y = (M+m)v^2/2 (K.E of combined mass)

So v =  2mgy/m+M

v = u+gt

v = -v+gt

t = 2v/g

t = 22mgy/m+M

rate me if it's correct !!!
