man dont go for resnik halliday
u can solve hcv and for gud problems tmh
u can also take ncert for some concepts
if u r lagging behind in any part of phy and cannot understand from other book
then go for rh for only that section of part
DONT solve and read whole rh

Don't use Resnic Halliday for solving problems. Only refer it for Theory(Concepts).
For solving problems first complete H C Verma, then TMH for IIT and then try for Irodov.
The best books for concepts are,
1.Theory of Mechanics by Irodov
2.Theory of Electrodynamics by Irodov

Why would someone suggest irodov with objective paper , no use

If possible do questions at back of RH , but mostly use it for clearing concepts and even if u dont do RH u can manage

HCV is quite good do it thoroughly and yes ncert has improved a lot be thorough with ncert too

Instead of TMH i think you should do HC Verma fully .. all problems . all theory everything at all!!..if you feel it is too easy go for DC Pandey for slightly higher level problems.
Its always a good ideal to get the study material of a reputed institute.
FIITJEE GMP is the best i think.
You can keep RH for fun, it is very easy...when you are bored and have nothing to do then you can go through the therory in RH and also some problems .. it is a lot of fun and is beneficial too.
Also I think Resnick Halliday and KRANE is a better book than WALKER, see if you can get it changed, if not WALKER is good too.

There is no better feeling in this world than being a winner!

Listen dude, you have bought the book. So you have invested you Dad's money in it right? So what is there to ask about. Read the book and solve its problems. Most of the books available in the market are good ones. Buy anyone and solve it top to bottom. Once you do that move on to other books. Whats there to think about??

An ideal list would be:
HCV
Resnick Halliday Walker
Theory book of Irodov
Problems of Irodov
DC Pandey

Both the bokks are good.

But as far as the variety of olved and unsolved problems are concerned H C Verma slighlty scores over Resnick Halliday.

It has a punch that helps you to a great deal in competitive exams like IIT-JEE for which it is specifically written.

The most incomprehensible thing about the world is that it is

at all comprehensible.

hey man try not to do resnick & halliday you hav to waste  lot of time on conversions.better do h c verma completely. if u hav extra time then go for d c pandey.resnick is good for concepts.

irodov is good for highly conceptual questions.u really hv to rack ur brain to solve it.

what is 2+2=
(a)4
(b)four
(c)iv
(d)1+3

resnick sums are simple concept based. do hcv, or selected irodov sums.
