wen a capillary tube of insufficient length is dipped,the liquid changes its contact angle till the rise in level of liquid is equal to length of the capilary tube

The radius of th surface increases by changing c0ntact angle. . .height in invrsly relatd to that radius(of th sphere of whch surface is a part)

the contact angle of the liquid alters and hence creating a curvature of different size to compensate the pressures from above and below
