Circular Motion

A smooth wire of length 2a bent into a vertical circle. A bead 'P' can slide smoothly on the wire. The circle is rotated about the vertical diameter as axes with a speed 'w' the bead P is at rest with respect to the circular ring in the position shown in the figure.Then ' w2 ' is equal to

let angle between normal rxn.(N) at P makes angle x with horizontal...

then cosx=a/2/a =1/2 => x=60 [since normal rxn passes through center ]

N sinx =mg and Ncosx= mw^2 .(a/2) [since it rotates in a circle wid radius a/2]

so w^2 can easily be found...
