| (a) | maximum potential energy is 100 J | (b) | maximum kinetic energy is 100 J | | (c) | maximum potential energy is 160 J | (d) | maximum potential energy is zero | Can any one tell me how option d will also be there ans is given c and d

ans should be max. pe 160
min. p.e o (only if height from earth surface is ignored)

yep maxl potentail energy is 160j
yaar just use conservation of energy
total energy = p.e +k.e
in shm at the extreme point v=0
hence k.e =0
hence t.e =p.e =160

again at mean posn v is maxm => ke is maxm
so p,e. can be 0.
