confusing question
None

thers a dust particle on a glass slab of thickness t and refractive index 1.5 .when it is seen from one side of the slab the dust particle appears at a distance of 6cm. from the otherside it appears at a distance of 4cm.find the thickness t of the glass slab

i am not getting the solution

i am thnking that et the eye by e a t afixed ditance x form both sides

then

x+t-(1-1/u)t=6

and   x=4

whats wrong   pls provinde an alt solution if posssible

 can we do it like this..

refractive index, u = real depthe d / aparent depth d'

so, u = d1 / d'1

u = d2 / d'2

and total thicknes = d1 + d2 = u ( d'1 + d'2 )

                           t  = 1.5 ( 10)

                           or t = 15 cm....

is my answer right???
