Sir when we use a rocket to go out of earth's gravitational field is the energy conserved.
as the rocket goes up potential energy increases. but when out of earth's gravitational field g becomes 0 hence potential energy becomes 0
so where has the work diminished which was used to lift the rocket

1.The conservation of energy principle is a very basic principle. So energy must be conserved. 2.potential energy never becomes zero. The formula to be used is --GM / R.

The energy is always conserved. Here g can be zero virtually. But infact it is never zero.

The Scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it, & he delights in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, life would not be worth living. Ofcourse I do not here speak of that beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of qualities & appearances; not that I undervalue such beauty, far from it, but it has nothing to do with science; I mean that profounder beauty which comes from the harmoniuos order of the parts, & which a pure intelligence can grasp. |
