When two bodies collide then ,we can apply two equations on it,one is conservation of momentum & equation of restituion .Equation of restitution is applied in the direction of impact forces .In which direction do we apply the conservation of momentum? Can we conserve the momentum of single body(anyone of the colliding bodies)?If yes ,then in which direction?

We can apply conservation of momentum in both the directions. Since there is a collision in the direction of line joining the centers we apply Newton's law of collision which involves restitution.
 
We cannot conserve momentum of single body, because the collision of the other body is nothing but external force.
