Here is the solution.

Let mass of planet be 'm' and that of Sun be 'M'.

Since the angular momentum of the planet is constant so :

mv1r1 = mv2r2

v1r1 = v2r2

The total energy of the planet is also constant,hence:

-GMm/r1 + (1/2)mv12 = -GMm/r2 + (1/2)mv22

Therefore,

GM(1/r2 - 1/r1) = v22/2 - v12/2

GM(r1-r2/r1r2) = v12r12/2r22 - v12/2

GM(
r1-r2/r1r2) = v12/2 (r12/r22 - 1)

Thus we get,

V12 = 2GM(r1-r2)r22/
(r12-r22)r1r2

V1 = [2] 2GMr2/r1(r1+r2)

Hope you find it useful,
Rate if useful.

@pratik

What you are saying is the answer to the question ~

If velocity at a point r1 distance away from sun is v1, find velocity at a point r2 away.

The question you asked in the thread asks the areal velocity.

Let areal velocity vector be A`
Let angular momentum vector be L`

L`=2m dA/dt = 2mA`
A`=L`/2m = v1r1/2 = v2r2/2
