To be mathematically correct, this graph can't be classified as a hyperbola or any other second degree conic section.....................

Why????

Because the equation says y = K/x² => yx² = K

The term yx² has degree = 3...................

It follows inverse square law, explained as below:

Inverse Square Law, Gravity

As one of the fields which obey the general inverse square law, the gravity field can be put in the form shown below, showing that the acceleration of gravity, g, is an expression of the intensity of the gravity field.
