Q1 A square frame of side L is dipped in a liquid soap solution. When it is taken out of the liquid, a soap film is formed on it. If the surface tension of soap is T, then the force acting on the frame is -----------
Q2 16 cm3 of water flows per sec thru a capillary tube of radius 'a' and of length l and when connected to a pressure head of h cm of water. I f a yube of same lengthand radius a/2 is connected to the same pressure head ,the quantity of water flowing thru the tube per sec will be -----------------.

@dwayne I wud like to correct you...its not as u r thinking.....say for eg. you apply some force on wall...but it does not moves....it doesn't mean that u haven't applied any force.......
Now for the first quesetion.....guys it so simple yaar what u ppl r doing!!!
Force on each side of the frame will be........f = TL...
so force due to four sides........f' = 4Tl........
But the film has the other side also.......so........F = 8TL.....
hope everyones clear now........

well, i think forces are cancelling each other. & in qn. he has simply asked find the force which means net force. & hence 0.
@aatish . its quite obvious that frame mass & mass of a wall are not comparable..don take the main thing other way!!!
