use B + kx = mg ...if answer comes out to be negative then its compression

B = V/2 * d * g

where V = volume
d = density of water
g = u know :D ...10m/s^2

What is B. It seems it is upthrust.And why is volume V/2.Is it due to as it is half-dipped?

Be like a postage stamp.Stick to anything until you get there.
