The force required to just move a body up an inclined plane is n times the force required to just prevent it from sliding down the plane. The coefficient of friction is and inclination of inclined plane is θ.Find  in terms of θ and n.

let the applied force be F
when we are pushing it up
mgsin(theta) and friction will act downwards

so
F = mew x m x g x cos (theta ) + mgsin(theta )

in the next case when its slipping
the diff is that friction acts upward
so new equatio is

F + mew x mgcos (theta ) = mgsin(theta )
according to ques

mew x m x g x cos (theta ) + mgsin(theta ) = n [ mgsin (theta ) - mew x m x g x cos (theta ) ]

solving this u will get

mew = sin (theta ) ( n - 1 ) / (cos (theta ) + ncos (theta ) )
