But i am not understanding it how

so sir plz explain me the concept how brakes act in the car & justification of this answer

but sir dat much i know when we apply the brakes it locks the wheels means it stops the rotation of the tyre
then how will we be able to stop the slipping of tyres by applying the brakes coz they can stop rotation of tyres only
plz explain it
