Q. A missile is launched at an angle of 60 degree to the vertical with the velocity of sq.root (3GM/4R) from the surface of the earth .(R is the radius of the earth ).Its maximum height from the centre of the earth is aR. Find a*100.(Take sq. root 304=17 and neglect air resistence and the rotation of the earth.)
please someone tell me from where i can solve this kind of conceptual question(which study material or books)
i solve irodov but i do not solve such questions . please someone tell that from where is this question from.

i got tht a approx =1
so a x 100 = 100
logically its wrong.....................becaz then the distance from the centre of earth will be R which is wrong.........

i think u got to apply energy conservation
1/2 mv^2 = GMm / (R + h)
and getting a =5/3.
?????
