hc.verma is a general textbook for jee,it is a gud buk for theory and poblems, and if done properly,it is alone enuf for jee,so better go with hc.verma and if time permits,dc.pandey as well, resnick is a reference buk,it is for clearing doubts and concepts,if u r not satisfied with any concept even after doing from hcv or dcp, then refer it,but use it as a reference buk,not as a textbuk.

Yes HC VERMA's physics is good enough for physics for iit-jee,

if u have taken a drop then:

first study as well as solve from HCV as your basic book then go on to other books like resinick and haliday or dc pandey etc. for solving purpose.

and

if u r in u r XIth then get a good hold of u r theory from modern abc for XI and XII or std.material. etc or others depends on ones taste. Then go on to solve HC Verma at least by u r XIIth may-june-july months first then other books

for solving.

Yes it is enough !! I usually recommend H C Verma as I referred it myself and found it compact, conceptual and precise. But Resnick is somewhat lengthy, but if you are interested in physics definitely go through Resnick. H C Verma is a very good book but never mandatory for clearing JEE, even one or two of my friends referred Resnick rather than H C Verma and they cleared JEE with impressive ranks

As far a i think you need ot solve the numericals of HC Verma if you are solving DC Pandey. But i would strictly recommend you to solve the objective questions and questions for short answer because without that your preparation for IIT-JEE would be incomplete.
