well.. this is more biology than physics...
when you push the stone... ur muscles undergoes isometric contraction.. i.e it tries to contract.. but its volume remains the same... so.. stone doesnt move...
but for that blood is transported to the muscles more rapidly so that it can continue trying to push the stone... for transporting blood. it needs energy.. that's where your energy goes...
rate if useful..

The reason is qiute simple,
Work done = force * distance
As the rock is not moving any distance so, work done (or the energy used) will b zero.
Regarding ur tiredness, the energy that u will use, will go on on the contraxction & expansion of ur muscles.

When you push a stone of 50 tons an oppossing force is developed i.e. friction, which is a self adjusting force. Hence the stone does not move.

Friction removes all the energy from the block which was poured in it by you. The nature of friction is static.

According to the law of conservation of energy it is going wasted in many ways:
1. Thermal Energy
2. Sound Energy (if any)
3. Friction
4. Expansion and Contraction of muscles
5. Warming of your body
6. Increased Breathing (if excessive force is applied)
7. Increased Heart Rate (if excessive force is applied)

Talking in terms of physics..

no work is being done..

not by you, neither by friction...

why you feel tired? its bio. as explained in some posts above..

but mind it, no work is being done by you or by friction.

you aren't doing any work as there is no displacement. no energy is wasted
