Its a tough question regarding force and free body diagram...........
None

If the man manages to keep himelf at rest on platform,as shown, find the acceleration of the system masses m and M. All pulleys are light and frictionless .Also find the force the man has to exert on string .

ANSWERS:       

acc=  (7m -M)/(49m +M) *g

force = (216mM)/(343m +7M) *g

however solving dis ...we get T=8mMg/(49m+M)....

so force exerted=4T=32mMg/(49m+M)......=242mMg(343m+7M)

please tell me where have i gone wrong!

i dont know where u hve gone wrong coz i also want the solution to it but u seem to be right can u help me in explaining again about the relation in acc..i dint get only that partbut thx
