If a particle is accelerating, it is either speeding up or speeding dwn.Do you agree with this statement

hmm .... acceleration is in direct contact with velocity not the speed ..

when a body is accelerating the velocity only changes and not necessarily the speed. The velocity may change in direction or in magnitude. When the velocity changes in direction(as in circular motion) the speed remains the same as the magnitude is constant
